Handwoven Vintage Persian Runner Rug

Vintage handwoven wool low pile Persian runner rug. Measures 7’6”x3’6”. Features three central medallions with horse and floral motifs throughout. There is a field of crimson, and hints of cream, indigo, olive green and marigold.

Horses have long been revered in Persian culture as symbols of power, strength, freedom, and nobility. In Persian mythology and literature, horses are often associated with heroes, warriors, and mythical creatures, representing courage, speed, and vitality. This rug is in good vintage condition.
