Vintage handwoven wool low pile Persian rug. Measures 6'6"x3'8". Features five central medallions with evil eye motifs and wave borders. This rug has a muted terracotta field with hints of plum tones, creams, and indigos throughout.

The evil eye is a superstition that dates back thousands of years and is believed to bring misfortune or injury to those who are unaware of it. The evil eye motif, typically depicted as a blue eye or a series of concentric circles, is thought to ward off the malevolent gaze and protect against negative energy.
