Handwoven vintage Persian rug

Handwoven wool low pile Persian rug. Measures 3’8”x5’5” Features one central medallion with various tribal fertility and star motifs. This rug has a field of deep indigo and pops of muted earth tones. The rug is in good vintage condition.

In tribal weaving traditions, star motifs are also associated with protection and balance, thought to ward off negative energy while bringing harmony to the home. Their repeating, symmetrical shapes reflect ideas of continuity and interconnectedness, linking earthly life to the celestial world.
