Handwoven vintage Persian rug

Handwoven wool low pile Persian rug. Measures

9'x4'7"-11". Features two large central medallions with a border and figural and tribal evil eye motifs. This rug has a deep indigo field with pops of soft pink terracotta and turmeric tones. The rug shows some wear and would work best with a rug pad.

Tribal evil eye motifs are symbolic designs found in rugs, textiles, and artwork from various cultures, particularly in the Middle East, Central Asia, and North Africa. The motif, often represented as a stylized eye or circular symbol with concentric shapes, is traditionally used as a protective charm to ward off negative energy and bad luck caused by envious glances or harmful intentions.
