Handwoven vintage Persian rug

Handwoven wool low pile Persian rug. Measures 6’11”x3’11”. Features three central medallions with boteh and fertility motifs. This rug has a rich abrash terracotta field with pops of deep indigo. The rug is in good vintage condition.

The boteh motif, often referred to as the "seed of life," is a timeless design element found in Persian rugs and textiles. Shaped like a teardrop or paisley, the boteh symbolizes growth, fertility, and eternal life.
