Handwoven vintage Persian rug

Handwoven wool low pile Persian runner rug. Measures 9’5”x2’8”. Features a deep red field and a variety of pictorial animal motifs. This rug has pops of teal, indigo, brown and charcoal woven throughout. The rug is in good vintage condition.

Some Persian rugs feature elaborate depictions of hunting scenes or courtly life, with animals such as deer, birds, and dogs often portrayed in action. These motifs not only add visual interest but also convey themes of nobility, leisure, and prowess.
