**Please note all sales are final.**

Vintage handwoven wool Persian rug. Features central medallions woven in indigo with a field of deep terracotta. Features bright colors of yellow, pink, teal, and blue throughout. This rug shows a number of tribal evil eye motifs throughout. There is a triple border on the rug showing both a wavy water pattern and variations of a boteh pattern. The boteh pattern has its origins in Persia (modern-day Iran) and dates back to ancient times. It is believed to have been used in Persian textiles as far back as the Sassanid Empire (224-651 AD).

In some regions, it is associated with fertility and growth, while in others, it may symbolize a variety of concepts, such as life, eternity, or the natural world.

Please note that we do our very best to honestly depict out products. Our Persian collection of rugs are vintage, handmade one-of-a-kind pieces thus it is not uncommon for variations in wear, color, and dimensions. We encourage you to reach out to us with any questions or extra content to feel confident in your purchase.
