Handwoven vintage Persian rug

Handwoven wool low pile Persian rug. Measures 5'4"x4'11". Features two central medallions with a thick border and figural, tribal evil eye, and floral motifs. This rug has soft terracotta abrash field with pops of deep chocolate and muted indigos. The rug is in good vintage condition.

Tribal evil eye motifs are often represented as a stylized eye or circular symbol with concentric shapes, is traditionally used as a protective charm to ward off negative energy and bad luck caused by envious glances or harmful intentions.
